Leandro Castellano, PhD
RNA Biology & Translational Oncology
Editor-in-Chief, Cancer Gene Therapy (Nature Portfolio)
Dr. Leandro Castellano is a molecular biologist specializing in RNA biology and cancer. He obtained his PhD in Human Biology and Genetics from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and has held academic positions at Imperial College London and the University of Sussex.
He is currently Head of the Department of Biochemistry and Biomedicine and Reader (Associate Professor) in RNA Biology at the University of Sussex, co-Director of the Sussex RNA Research Centre, and holds an honorary position at Imperial College London. His research focuses on microRNAs and non-coding RNAs in epithelial cancer development and progression.
He serves as Editor-in-Chief of Cancer Gene Therapy (Nature Portfolio).

Stefano Gaburro, PhD
Translational Systems & Digital Innovation
Dr. Stefano Gaburro is the European Business Manager at Microbiologics and former Scientific Director at Tecniplast, with over 18 years of experience in neuropharmacology and laboratory animal science. His work sits at the intersection of translational research, digital technologies, and experimental system design.
He has specialized in the development and implementation of digital biomarkers to enhance animal welfare and experimental rigor, contributing to the evolution of more predictive and ethically grounded research models. His approach strongly aligns with the principles of the 3Rs (Replacement, Reduction, Refinement), advancing strategies that improve both the living conditions of laboratory animals and the quality of scientific outcomes.

Eduardo Farias, PhD
Translational Biology & Regulatory Strategy
Eduardo Farias is a seasoned cell biologist and biotech leader with more than 35 years of experience translating scientific discoveries from concept toward clinical development. His expertise spans tumor progression biology, minimal residual disease, tumor dormancy, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, preclinical model development, and validation of innovative disease models, including advanced 3D in vitro systems and in vivo preclinical models.
As Founder & CEO of BioSolutions Consulting LLC, he supports biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies with strategic guidance across translational research, preclinical development, disease-model validation, and therapeutic program advancement. His experience provides NAMina Bio with important perspective on regulatory-aware study design, translational validation frameworks, and the development of human-relevant models aligned with drug-development decision-making.
